Perhaps this has already been mentioned, but I have not seen anyone anywhere suggest this yet. Obama decries SB 1070, then sends 1300 National Guard troops to the border, then says the federal government will take Arizona to court. Huh? Those 1300 troops will be ordered to do nothing. They were merely sent there to make us think that Obama is doing something good for the people.
So how 'bout this. States have militia's. In rare cases, these militia's are called into service. These are made up of all sorts of different people, some ex military, some law enforcement, some people that just want to be on stand by to defend their families and people. They are heavily armed and at least somewhat trained. I say we call these militia's into service, and have them route out the violent drug lords that have already claimed parts of Arizona, and have them guard the border.
This would be a low cost solution to ridding us of this plague. Heck, if there was an open, national call for concerned average Joe's, and if the minimal necessities were provided (food, ammo, shelter, minimal pay to cover expenses back home) I'd be down there tomorrow.
Obama has mentioned a "citizen task force, just as powerful as the military", this would be a good time to implement that.

What Welfare Is Available For Illegals?
Here is a list of resources that provide evidence of how much welfare money goes to illegals. This is gathered by having "anchor babies", and is by way of AFDC, food stamps, "free" emergency room visits, HUD...
$37 Million dollars a month going to illegals in LA County for welfare and foodstamps. That does not include hospital bills, education, crime...
This article here puts the number at $50 Million for LA County.
And yet another article regarding California.
And one from 2008 that focuses on the plight of Texas, putting the cost at over $4.7 billion a year. This article also points out that the illegals flooded into Texas after Oklahoma and Arizona passed tougher laws, proving the proving the point that if actually outlawed illegals (yeah, there's a novel concept!), the cost of deportation would minimal, as they would leave via their own accord since there would be no jobs, no welfare, no free education, and the threat of being arrested. They would have no reason to stay.
This one estimates that California pays upwards of $6 billion towards free rides for their illegals.
Nevada wastes $630 million a year on illegals.
Staying local, this report estimates Oregon's cost is $839 million for 2010.

What Do The Laws Say Exactly?
I'm glad you asked. Here is California's state law regarding illegal aliens:
"Calif. Penal Code Sec. 834b
834b. (a) Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws.
(b) With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the following:
(1) Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status.
(2) Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or leave the United States.
(3) Notify the Attorney General of California and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal status and provide any additional information that may be requested by any other public entity.
(c) Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city, county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly prohibited."
L.A.'s police department has been instructed to NOT follow this law. Could that possibly be because the mexican gangs are funding the politicians there?
L.A. has officially launched a boycott against Arizona. They won't be doing any official business with anything or anyone in the state. Except the power company, they need the power from Arizona. And the 2 airlines that are based in Arizona, U.S. Airways and Mesa Air, which bring in about $20,000,000 to LAX. And oh yeah, there's an NBA series pitting the Phoenix team against the L.A. team, can't boycott that. So, quite frankly, the L.A. officials are pussing out, picking and choosing what they want to boycott, versus what they need. No wonder the city, and the whole state are billions of dollars in debt. Let them drown in it I say.

As of 2004, the LAPD had upwards of 1,500 outstanding homicide warrants for illegal aliens. Yet, if any police or city officials, in any city, talk about the threat and danger of illegal aliens, they are immediately labeled as racist.

Why I Support Delia Lopez!
Delia Lopez is running for U.S. House of Representative's in my district, Oregon 3. She's a Ron Paulian, with Libertarian leanings. She doesn't have much political experience, which in this case, I think is a good thing. Some fresh perspective, from a NON lifetime politician, who's NOT bogged down by status quo of D.C. is just what we need. She could use some more experience with public speaking, but the messages comes across.
I won't lie. Some of my support is due to the ol' "ANYONE BUT THE INCUMBENT!" as I wholeheartedly believe that Earl Blumenauer is contributing to the desecration of the U.S.A. from the inside out. According to his voting record:
- He likes the fact that I am now being forced to give my hard earned money to large insurance companies so they can pay for other peoples' cancer due to smoking, heart failures due to obesity due to eating too much crap, and people that don't want to work and just sit around playing video games all day instead.
- He wants more illegal immigrants to come across the border and undercut our wages and increase the big businesses profit margins, while burdening our schools and other social services with their children while not paying in toward it.
- He voted to ask Puerto Rico if they want to become a state. They've been asked 2 or 3 times over the past few decades, and they decline each time. Puerto Rico's statehood would mean that 2 more senators and 6 to 8 more reps in the house. All democrats! Not to mention another 2 million votes for liberals so they can provide my money to them as welfare. The dems can't win with the current population, so why not just make more population that is enslaved to them!
- He wants to remove guns from the innocent, so the only ones that will have guns are criminals.
Those are 4 issues that are big for me.

Why Do Mexicans Have So Much Pride?
This is a legitimate question. I understand there is some pride in ones culture, their roots. I see them marching through the streets of the US, carrying their flag, saying how they're taking over. Why? Didn't they come here for a better life? Aren't they trying to escape the horrors of Mexico? Why do they wish to turn this land into another version of their poverty and crime riddled land?
Those that came to this land centuries ago did so to escape the tyrannies of the then Monarchical systems. They wished to begin anew. Sure, they carried over some of their culture, in dress, food, and tradition, and that's part of what has made America great. But they were no longer citizens of their birth countries. They were now proud Americans.

Those that came to this land centuries ago did so to escape the tyrannies of the then Monarchical systems. They wished to begin anew. Sure, they carried over some of their culture, in dress, food, and tradition, and that's part of what has made America great. But they were no longer citizens of their birth countries. They were now proud Americans.
